British Library

Once I and my friends planned to go out because we were free after giving our exams. We gathered in one of our friend's houses to plan something thing we had a huge bucketing list we were confused that what should we choose first but suddenly the British Library came into one of my friend's minds we'll are untied for that then after selecting place we had to choose cab then I told about company cab because I used to travel with this company cab because whenever I travel with company cab I felt so pleased because they have experience driver who knows how to drive well and how to treat well.

We called company cab it came at the proper time and we started our journey towards British Library. Since its establishment in 1753, the British Museum Library has amassed one of the largest collections of books, manuscripts, and periodicals, both old and new, British and foreign. To house the holdings of Sir Hans Sloane, Sir Robert Cotton, and Robert and Edward Harley, it was established as "one universal repository." The St. Cuthbert Gospel, the oldest European book to have survived intact and one of the most significant books in the entire world, has been successfully bought by the British Library. The manuscript dates to the seventh century and is amazingly well preserved.

The British Library and British Museum officially split in 1973. Up until 1997, when the new British Library building in St. Pancras opened, the library was housed in the Reading Room. The chance to redesign the Round Reading Room and the courtyard where it is located arose from this move. The first purpose-built public library in England opened its doors in 1857, but for the majority of the following century, local acceptance of the Act moved slowly, until it picked up significantly in the late 1880s during Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. The British Library Act led to the establishment of the British Library in 1973. The goal of Parliament was to create a single organization that would serve as the hub of the UK's information network and support business, the arts, and humanities as well as scientific and technological research.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport is the sponsor of the Library, a non-departmental public organization.
